The Los Angeles Film School welcomes Faye Dunaway, Kimberly Peirce and Paul Verhoeven as new members of the Advisory Board.

The Los Angeles Film School's new President Amedeo D'Adamo and new Acting Dean Daniele Suissa are proud to announce recent additions to the School's Advisory Board. Faye Dunaway, Kimberly Peirce and Paul Verhoeven are recognized throughout the world for their distinguished achievements in the entertainment industry.

"Personally, I'm thrilled," said the school's president. "Here are three heroes of contemporary cinema; all three are risk-takers, all three make films that we take apart in our classes to see how they work. Kim I've known for years - we were roommates our first year of film-school - and we've all gotten to know Faye in the months she spent here at the school as our first Visiting Artist. Also, Paul has just been a hero of mine since I first saw Robocop. His recent
class here at the school was like his films; very thoughtful, electric, exciting and fiercely argued. It makes us all proud that they've endorsed this place and what we do."

The Los Angeles Film School's Advisory Board now has12 world-renowned active members. Besides newly joined members, the Board includes Dede Allen, Milena Canonero, Jackie Goldberg, Amy Heckerling, Janusz Kaminski, Alan Rudolph, Tom Schatz, Bob Shapiro and Richard Sylbert.

Faye Dunaway, the Academy Award-winning actress, performed in more than 70 movies including "Bonnie and Clyde," "Chinatown," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "Network," and others. She also directed "The Yellow Bird," produced in participation with the Los Angeles Film School.

Kimberly Peirce writing/directing achievements include last year's smash hit "Boys Don't Cry," and "The Last Good Breath." Her films garnered numerous awards and accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Actress and Golden Globe Award.

Paul Verhoeven's directorial success came from such films as Basic Instinct, Robocop, Total Recall, Soldaat van Oranje, De Vierde Man, Flesh & Blood, Hollow Man, and Showgirls.

The Los Angeles Film School offers an exciting and intense12-month full immersion filmmaking program, a 6-week Digital program, part-time evening courses and a newly created Feature Development program scheduled to launch in September. The Los Angeles Film School offers concentrations in Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Producing, Production Design, Screen Writing and Sound Design.
