Basic Hummus – i dont measure, so these specs here are guesstimates.
-25oz can Westbake Organic Garbanzo Beans
-3 TbSp Santa Cruz Organic lemon juice
-1-2 organic garlic cloves
-1/2 cup Whole Foods Roasted Tahini
-1/3 cup 365 Organic Olive Oil
-1 TbSp Sea Salt

Mix in a blender or food processor. I use a blender, and add the garbanzo bean juice out of the can until i get a creamy consistency. It tens to thicken a bit, specially after its cooled; It is best served cooled, at least a couple hours, better overnight.

Ok now the fun part: mixin’ it up. I like to make everything different every time, here are a couple of my favorites:

Add celery and onions in the blender, then eat with celery.

A great variation i found works well is adding your local honey and stevia and extra salt.
– 2 TbSp Local Honey (Local Honey is a natural antihistamine)
– 2 TbSp Sea Salt (in addition to the 1 in the basic recipe, so 3 TbSp total)
– 8 drops Stevita liquid stevia extract

Live flight status on Delta. But if you can avoid flying through S.Africa, do it. They fumigate the planes while you are in them. They walk up AND down the isle with 2 insecticide bombs. Freaking amazing.  Off course they do this before take off, and it is a 17 hr flight, so we can soak it in real nice. S.Africa does this – so its only flights INTO S.Africa. The irony.

The best views in Malawi! it was like being on an airplane, looking down. Beautiful waterfalls and The Mushroom Lodge has made this one one my top Malawi destinations. Mind you the breakfast at the Lodge took 3 hours so it kind of threw of us for the day; next time we will come more prepared…

Amy and I took a trip to North Malawi for the week, driving down the lakeshore. For her it was work; if you want to read more about how the Chinese are pillaging the world, and kicked Taiwan out of Malawi, and how it affects us, read amy’s blog www.amygottlieb.net/?p=97.

Ok i cant contain, just a little rant:
Ooops, we did it again. Malawi kicked out Taiwan in favor of China. China offered Malawi $6B. Already a few hundred million have disappeared, along with some Malawi minister, finance i think… i’m sure the president is getting a nice kick back… so China’s condition was that Taiwan had to leave – they hold a grudge. Taiwan has been helping Malawi for 42 years; medicine, agriculture, equipment, education. the chinese will build a new parliament, and theres talks of connecting the lake to the shore – which will certainly destroy this beautiful pristine lake in no time. They discovered uranium here lately, and theres also corn and tobacco. I was talking to a dude thats lived in Africa his whole life, and he says the same thing happened in Zimbabwe. Chinese used up the country for all its natural resources. And they also bring their own people to do the work – Malawi already has granted china 4000 visas. So they setup their own business and underbid all the local business, because china subsidizes them; they put all the local business out of business, and dont hire local help, they bring that as well. And when all the soil is used up, trees gone, mountains mined, lake polluted and overfished, they just leave. People here cant see past tomorrow. And the few smart ones are so freaking greedy they dont give a %$#. This whole continent is funked.
